The Bloomington High School North bands are once again holding their popular fundraiser---Jazz Under the Stars---on August 18 at beautiful Deer Park Manor. Jazz Under the Stars will feature special guest artists Janiece Jaffe and Mark Buselli as well as a sampling of award-winning talent from BHSN past and present.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available by mail, at one the locations listed above, or online. The ticket price is $45, of which $33 is tax-deductible, for a wonderful evening that includes not just live music but also a delicious dinner provided by Bloomington Cooking School and a cash beer and wine bar. A $1.50 service charge per ticket applies for online purchases only.
Attention Potential Sponsors:
Bloomington North offers a wonderful and well-rounded band program, with 300+ students in the Marching Band, three concert bands, four jazz ensembles, and Winter Guard. Because school funding for the arts is limited, our band program must rely on the outside support of parents, alumni, and local businesses.
Jazz Under the Stars is one of our most important annual fundraisers. Proceeds from the event will be used to make significant one-time expenditures for much-needed items such as a new acoustic jazz string bass, a marching band drum major tower, and a new sound system, in addition to instruments and music.
Whether you are able to attend or not, please consider being a sponsor for the event at one of the following levels:
Underwriter: $500. Underwriter will receive 4 tickets to Jazz Under the Stars and BHSN Bands CD.
Donor: $250. Donor will receive 2 tickets to Jazz Under the Stars and BHSN Bands CD.
Contributor: $100. Contributor will receive BHSN Bands CD, tickets purchased separately.
Friend: Any amount. Any amount that you can contribute will be greatly appreciated! Tickets purchased separately.
