Who? BHSN Band & Guard Students & Families are asked to sell ads What? Our Annual Souvenir Yearbook contains memories, history, accomplishments, awards, and photos of the past year, all together in one special keepsake booklet. The annual spring publication of the Souvenir Yearbook is on opportunity to showcase the “World Class Quality” band program at BHSN to the Bloomington community. The Yearbook is also one of our biggest fundraisers of the year! How? You will be selling ad space to area businesses to help them promote their business, fund the publication of the yearbook, and raise money for the band program. Families can also buy Happy Ads to encourage their band members at half the cost of a business ad – what a fun way to support and congratulate your band student! Souvenir Yearbooks will be available for purchase in May. Ad packets can be picked up from Ms. Stockhouse or you can download all the forms you will need at the bottom of this page. Where? You may sell an ad to any business that wants to support our band and guard. Think of companies you and your family do business with. Please refer to the Do Not Approach list before selling ads. The Do Not Approach list is a list of businesses that current band/guard students sold to last year. Those students have until MARCH 19 to approach these business in hopes of selling an ad again. Any businesses that they do not approach will then become open to other band members. A list of who has already purchased an ad this spring will be updated and emailed to the listserv periodically. When? Ads are due in the band office by Monday, APRIL 2. Why? 40% of the money you collect will go into your band account, while 60% will go in the general band account. Ad sales can be your easiest method of increasing your savings for band trips or camp fees, and they also support the many general expenses of all our band programs. Seniors! Please submit your biography and photo ASAP (definitely by Apr.2). If you don't have the photo you want to use yet, let us know how we will be receiving one.
