Band Families,
One of our biggest fund raising efforts is the Souvenir Yearbook, which we produce each spring to highlight our band students and the accomplishments of every band at North. It provides a wonderful keepsake for band members, their families and friends, while generating positive community exposure for our tremendous band program. It’s also an opportunity to raise funds that benefit the entire band program and for individual band members to increase their personal band account for trips and fees.
To be involved, just view the documents listed below for all the information and directions. You will want to print out the business letter and ad order form to take with you selling ads. You may sell an ad to any business that wants to support our band and guard. Think of places you and your family do business with. Please refer to the Do Not Approach list before selling ads. The Do Not Approach list is a list of businesses that current band/guard students sold to last year. This list is reserved for those students until March 15 – at which time if they have not approached these business in hopes of selling an ad again, the businesses will then become open to other band members. A list of who has already purchased an ad this spring will be updated and emailed to the listserv periodically. Ads are due April 9. A change from previous years is that due to cost we will no longer be offering a free yearbook to each business or individual that places an ad. We will once again be offering a free ticket to one of our final concerts.
Not only do we encourage you to sell ads to local businesses, we encourage families to purchase Happy Ads to celebrate the accomplishments of your band student this past year.
Updates on our progress will be on the listserv each week. If you have any questions, please contact Dalane Anderson at 322-8756, dga@indiana.edu or Joslyn Ellison at 336-3418, josellison@yahoo.com.
Thank you and good luck selling ads!
