ISSMA State Solo & Ensemble Details
ISSMA State takes place at North Central High School, 1801 E 86th St, Indianapolis on Saturday, February 25. Carpooling is strongly encouraged!
Once you get there it does take time to turn into the school campus and then parking is always a challenge. It would be a good idea to drop off your son or daughter at the school with their instrument before you go park. There are maps at the school and ISSMA helpers who can answer questions.
Woodwind rooms are usually on the 2nd floor with brass and percussion on the main floor. Student performers should wait outside the door after performing and they will then be handed their scoresheet which they can then redeem for medals at the medal tables. The school cafeteria will be serving food all day long and this is also a good place for students, parents to wait in between events.
Bloomington High School North, located in south-central Indiana, features a very active and well-balanced band program, with multiple award-winning concert and jazz bands, as well as the Cougar Marching Band, all under the direction of Janis Stockhouse and Thomas Wilson.
