(Jan. 12-13, 2008) For the fourth time, Bloomington North was selected as the only public high school jazz combo invited to perform at the 35th IAJE Annual Conference in Toronto. The trio featuring Ben Lumsdaine (Drums), Lewis Rogers (Guitar), and North alumnus Nick Romy (bass) performed at the premier international jazz conference
(Nov. 30, 2007) On Nov. 28, the Symphonic Band performed in a joint concert with the Southern Indiana Wind Ensemble, which made its debut appearance. In his review of the concert (subscription required) for the Bloomington Herald-Times, Peter Jacobi wrote, "Let it be noted that the remarkable Stockhouse had her high school youngsters play first and play so famously that the new aggregation could well have been inspired to a how-can-we-top-this level."
(Oct 13, 2007) The Cougar Band gave its best performance of the year at ISU in Terre Haute and earned a Gold division rating.
(Oct 6, 2007) The Cougar Marching Band placed 2nd in this weekend's Carmel Invitational, and also brought home the caption award for Best General Effect.
(Sep 29, 2007) At the ISSMA District Marching Band Contest, the Cougar Marching Band won a Gold division rating and won all three caption awards for Best Music, Best Visual Performance, and Best General Effect.
(Sep 22, 2007) The Cougar Marching Band placed 3rd in the Sound of Brownsburg Invitational.
(Sep 15, 2007) The Cougar Marching Band won the Music in Motion Invitational at Warren Central HIgh School, winning caption awards for Best General Effect, Best Visuals, and Best Music, and tying for Best Drum Major.
(Sep 8, 2007) Playing indoors because of rain, the Cougar Band tied for 3rd in a ten-band field at the season's first competition, the Franklin Central Invitational on Saturday.
(Mar 10, 2007) Congratulations to the BHSN Winter Guard, which achieved a gold rating in
the Class AA divisional finals today.
(Oct 21, 2006) The marching band put forth an outstanding performance and tied for fifth
place among Class B bands at the ISSMA State Marching Band Finals at the RCA
dome today.
This is North's best finish ever.
Contratulations to the students, directors, staff, and supporters who
made this happen.

tough regional competition today!

(Aug 25, 2006) Students are being offered a special opportunity to sell ads right now,
this fall, for next spring's yearbook, to help them earn money to help
cover their costs for the upcoming marching-band trip to Phildalphia and

(Aug 3, 2006) The band boosters will meet tonight at 7pm in the BHSN band room.
The meeting is open to everyone, as are all boosters meetings.
(Aug 3, 2006) Our Philadelphia Parade kick-off meeting will be on 8/17 at 6:00pm in the
band room.
It is very important that if your child is planning on going on the trip
that at least one parent is present at the meeting.
Mark Harting, from our travel company, will be present to talk through all
aspects of the trip.
(Aug 3, 2006) The marching band rehearsal schedule has changed again, with the Saturday
(August 12) session canceled and the August 15 session extended to
3:00-9:00pm.
The annual parent display and pitch-in is now scheduled for Saturday,
August 26---the day of the marching band mini-camp.

the Friday (August 11) session replaced by one on Saturday (August 12).

scheduled for August 19.
