Running a high-quality band program that supports a wide range of activities is expensive. The Bloomington North Band Endowment Fund was established several years ago as a means of providing much-needed support for the band program on a permanent and ongoing basis, regardless of economic times. Ideally, the endowment fund would be available to fund bigger-ticket items outside of the usual budget, such as rhythm section instruments and amplifiers for the jazz program, large woodwind, brass and percussion instruments for the concert bands, and a new tower for the marching band. In addition, the endowment fund is needed to help those students who need financial assistance with expenses associated with participating in band activities and trips.
